Profound
Profound has moved beyond monitoring. Its current enterprise offer combines up to nine engines with agent analytics and marketing Agents; the 8.8 score remains from our July 2026 panel, not a retest.
What works
- Enterprise pricing page lists capability for up to nine answer engines and tailored daily prompt tracking
- Agent Analytics connects AI crawler activity and AI-sourced visits with visibility reporting
- Agents and shared workflows can turn findings into marketing work within the same platform
What doesn't
- Enterprise price and prompt allowance are custom, so a public price-per-prompt comparison is unavailable
- The free trial lasts seven days, tracks 50 prompts across three engines, and does not allow custom prompts
- Agent runs use credits; ask what your intended workflows would consume before comparing packages
September 2026 fact check: Profound now presents a free seven-day trial and a custom Enterprise plan for brands. The trial tracks 50 prompts daily across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews; Enterprise advertises tailored daily tracking across up to nine answer engines. See Profound’s current pricing and plan limits .
What the platform covers
Answer Engine Insights follows brand mentions, citations, sentiment and competitors. The Enterprise capability list includes ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. “Up to nine” describes the available Enterprise scope, not the engines included in a fixed-price starter package. Profound lists the engines by plan .
Agent Analytics adds a view of AI crawlers and AI-sourced visits. Profound also offers Agents and shared marketing workflows. That makes the old “monitoring only” verdict inaccurate, although the public plan page does not establish how much citation lift those workflows produce for any given site. See the current feature matrix .
Where it earns its place
Profound is worth evaluating when a team needs visibility reporting, crawler and referral context, and repeatable work in one environment. In a trial, compare its answer samples and cited sources with your own prompt list, then test one Agent workflow on a real page before deciding whether it saves editing time.
Where to be careful
The free trial is bounded: 50 vendor-selected prompts, three engines and seven days. Custom prompts, ongoing daily tracking and wider engine coverage are Enterprise features. Agent runs consume credits that vary by workflow, so obtain both the prompt allowance and a credit estimate in the quote. Profound explains Agent credit usage .
Our 8.8/10 score and No. 2 placement come from the July 2026 panel. We have not rerun that panel against the current platform. Use the score as historical context while judging the present offer against your own questions and pages. Read our scoring method .
