TOOL COMPARISON · THE AEO REPORT
Profound vs. Peec AI
A specialist-platform comparison: custom enterprise scope and marketing Agents versus a defined self-serve prompt plan.
September 2026 fact check: both vendors now describe ways to act on visibility findings, so “monitoring only” is too blunt for either product. The plan details here come from their current public pages. Our review scores were assigned in July 2026 and have not been recalculated for these changes.
What you can buy
Profound’s current brand pricing page offers a free seven-day trial with 50 prompts run daily across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Enterprise is custom-priced, with a tailored daily prompt plan and capability for up to nine answer engines. Trial prompts are recommended by Profound; custom prompt editing is an Enterprise feature. See Profound’s plan matrix .
Peec’s Starter plan displays $95 per month billed monthly, 50 prompts, three chosen models, daily tracking and one project. Pro expands to 150 prompts and two projects; Advanced lists 350 prompts and five projects. Enterprise offers a custom model mix and prompt setup. Peec says annual billing reduces the monthly rate by 15%. See Peec’s pricing and feature matrix .
What happens after a finding
Profound combines Answer Engine Insights with Agent Analytics for crawler and AI referral context. Its marketing Agents can run reusable workflows; runs consume credits, so the quote needs to cover both prompt tracking and the work you expect those Agents to do. Profound explains Agent credits .
Peec’s matrix lists visibility, position, sentiment, competitor views, gap analysis, recommended actions and agent actions. The public matrix does not clearly show which action features are available in every self-serve tier, so ask to see the exact plan in a trial. A feature label alone does not prove that the recommendation is specific enough to edit a page. Review Peec’s feature list .
Which one fits?
Evaluate Profound when you need a wider enterprise engine scope, crawler and referral analysis, and repeatable Agent work across a larger team. Obtain a written quote for engines, prompt volume, credits and support. Evaluate Peec when you can define a focused set of questions and three priority models, and want a published self-serve starting point. Check which models and action features your chosen Peec plan actually includes.
A fair trial
Use the same buyer questions in both products where the plans allow it. Check raw answers and cited URLs, then test one recommendation or Agent workflow against a page your team can change. Record the time spent, the specific edit proposed and the follow-up measurement. This tests the work delivered, rather than judging a dashboard screenshot. Use the pilot checklist .
